Representative ProjectsBFA assisted a private investor-owned gas and electric utility with developing and implementing a series of emergency and crisis management and business recovery plans, including its Corporate Gas Emergency Response Plan, Alternate Company Headquarters Plan, and Emergency Operations Plans for its Call Centers, Distribution System and Pipeline System. Design specifications and operational procedures were also developed for its Alternate Company Headquarters, Pipeline Restoration Center and dedicated Operations Coordination Center. Following the 1991 Oakland Hills Firestorm, BFA and a team of engineers evaluated a public water and wastewater district's level of preparedness for and response to the conflagration. A comprehensive emergency management program was developed and implemented, including mitigation strategies, preparedness, response and recovery plans, training and a series of progressive exercises. In conjunction with a Facilities Department, BFA and
a team of professionals developed, implemented and evaluated a comprehensive
emergency management program for a world famous Fortune 100 software company.
In addition to addressing planning, training and exercise program elements,
hazard-specific contingency plans were developed and design specifications
and operational procedures were established for the Life Safety Control
